Application Process

Thank you for your interest in enroling at Emmanuel College. At Emmanuel College it is our intention to offer places to families and students whom we think will best benefit from our school environment. Our aim is to create an environment where students can thrive and grow, both academically and personally.

Emmanuel College is known for its studious and positive culture, where mutual respect is valued and where everyone contributes to upholding the values of our College. Our students embrace the opportunity to serve their community and uphold high standards of Academic results, Presentation, Conduct, and Effort. We prioritize creating an inclusive and supportive environment where every individual is valued and respected.

Emmanuel College holds Christian values at its core. This does not mean that we exclusively enrol individuals committed to the Christian faith. We have students from diverse religious backgrounds and those who identify as non-religious. Nevertheless, we do ask all students and families to recognize and support the Christian ethos that underpins our school community.

While we cannot guarantee a place for siblings, we do give preference to siblings of currently enrolled students. We understand the importance of maintaining family connections within our school, and we strive to accommodate siblings whenever possible.

Thank you for considering Emmanuel College for your family's educational journey. If you have any further questions or require additional information, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to assist you and guide you through the enrolment process.

Warmest Regards

Sharon Vincent

Application for Enrolment

Please note - all cohorts for 2024 are fully allocated. Any new applications received will be joining the waiting list.

Applications for the 2025 intake (Years Prep, 7 and 10) are now closed.

Our review process is underway, and we will commence interviews early March. Due to the number of applications received we are unable to offer every family an interview. Families will be notified of the outcome by the end of March. We ask for your patience during this time.

The current intake year levels at Emmanuel College are Prep, Year 7 and Year 10.  Applications for these year levels close approximately one year prior to enrolment, on the 31st January. At the close of applications, we review all applications received by the due date and commence our interview process.

Prep Applications - Children in Queensland are eligible for Prep the year they turn 5 if they have a birthdate before 30th June. However, at Emmanuel College, we build our cohorts using a birthday cut off from 1st April. Our experience shows students having the advantage of a delayed start thrive throughout their educational journey. If your child has a birthday after the 1st April, we recommend an application for the following year.

Please note we do not base selection on the order in which applications are received. All applications are reviewed at the time of a vacancy. Due to the high number of applications received we are unable to interview all families.

Vacancies in all other year levels are filled as they arise. Families are welcome to complete an Applicaiton for Enrolment and join our waiting list for the requested cohort. When we have a vacancy, we will refer to our waiting list and review all applications on the list at that time. We do not enrol new students into Year 11 and 12 due to our accelerated curriculum commencing in Term 4 of year 10.

As Emmanuel College is not CRICOS registered, we are unable to enrol international students or students with a visa number 500 or above.

Please contact the enrolments team at enrolments@emmanuel.qld.edu.au or by phone (07) 5561 4021 if you require additional information.

Please read through the 3 stages below and then proceed to apply online.

Applications for our Pre-Prep Centre, Little e's are located under the DISCOVER page on the main menu.
