ANDREW RULFS
It is with sadness that we announce the death of Andrew Rulfs. A Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving for Andrew's life will be held on MONDAY 6TH JULY at 12 noon at NEW LIFE UNITING CHURCH, 4 Greenwich Court, Robina. Senior School students attending are requested to wear full dress school uniform. Those attending will be invited to form an Honour Guard at the conclusion of the service.
Andrew will be remembered by us all for his commitment to excellence, his determination in adversity and his wry sense of humour. But most of all we remember him for his deep love and trust in Jesus, His Saviour and Lord. In the midst of our sorrow we are confident that he now rests in the arms of the One he loved so deeply. We loved Andrew greatly. Today he is with the One who loved him the most.
ST GEORGE MISSION TRIP
The College Mission trip to St George will depart on Monday as previously planned. However, provision has been made for students wishing to attend the Service Of Celebration and Thanksgiving for Andrew's life to leave for Mission on Tuesday morning. Students on the Mission team wishing to attend the service for Andrew should contact Mr McQueen on 0434 644 423 if they have not already been contacted by him.
18/06/2009: Swine Flu Update
Welcome to the Emmanuel College Website!
We love our school! As you will see as you navigate these pages, we are a Prep to Year 12 school. We are a Christian school on the Gold Coast, multidenominational in character, and not linked to any particular church. We believe in doing everything as well as we possibly can, and our students are performing at the top levels in academic areas, sport and the performing arts. In all of these, we regularly achieve in the best three to five of schools in Queensland.
Our current families, as well as parents and students looking for their future school, will find many useful items in this Current Families section. Some of the material is passworded for protection of our children's privacy. The Future Families section is designed to give even more information for prospective families.
Enjoy reading, and you will see why we are so proud of our students - and why they love their school. I have been Principal of this wonderful school for nearly fifteen years and I love it more every year!
Graham Leo.
Swine Flu Update
Exclusion no longer applies as from the 26th June.
Current phases - H1N1 Influenza A (Human Swine Influenza)
Queensland: www.health.qld.gov.au/swineflu/html/phases.asp
From Monday 22 June, Queensland, along with the Commonwealth and all other Australian states and territories, will enter a new phase to manage the outbreak of Human Swine Influenza.
The new phase is called PROTECT.
The PROTECT phase recognises that Human Swine Influenza is not as severe for the general population as originally envisaged. Most people are making a rapid and full recovery. The new phase focuses on protecting those people who are most at risk of developing severe illness from Human Swine Influenza.
Be still, and know that I am God.
