Emmanuel played a huge role in shaping who I am – on and off the field. The support from the staff and the values I learned really helped set me up to chase my dreams. I still keep in touch with teachers who backed me from the start, and I’ve stayed close with friends from school too.

My time at Emmanuel helped lay the foundation for how I lead today and it gave me the confidence to think big, stay curious, and lead with purpose. Those early lessons continue to shape the way I inspire teams and connect global communities through play.

Emmanuel helped give me the strength and confidence to lead with compassion and stand for what’s right. It shaped my path as a peacemaker in Galiwin’ku, where I’ve supported women through family violence and created safe spaces for healing. That foundation helped guide me to becoming Australian of the Year.

Stuart Herschell-Adair has spent 20 years serving in Cambodia, where he and his wife have launched numerous impactful initiatives, including an international Christian school. Stuart says Emmanuel helped spark his passion for service and gave him the confidence to step out in faith – equipping local leaders and transforming communities through education, healthcare, and the hope of Jesus.
