Some opportunities, like the Junior School FRIENDS program are woven into the curriculum whilst others like the Year 8 Compass, the Year 9 Response, the Year 10 Journey and the Year 11 Mentoring programs are voluntary. If you weren't able to join us at our Annual Community Picnic last Saturday, here's a few snippets from the day. The heat didn't stop the kids from enjoying a game of cricket or bubble soccer and even a tug-of-war. Of course the water slides provided heaps of cool fun before everyone enjoyed a good ol' favourite sausage sizzle served by our Senior students. It certainly was an afternoon of fun, laughter and great Emmanuel community spirit.

The last two weeks have seen two wonderful events. The first was the Fete, and the second was a visit from the founder of our partner charity in India. Both events were amazing; both once again demonstrated what a unique community we have here at Emmanuel; and both left me feeling incredibly grateful to all the staff and parents who were involved.
