The Learn to Swim Program is designed to promote the development of your child by:

  • Achieving new skills and the positive effect this can have on the individual
  • Being actively involved in swim activities fostering positive interaction with others
  • Commencing a worthwhile recreational activity which can add enjoyment to life

Currently studying a Bachelor of Sport Development at Griffith Uni, Christie is a national level swimmer who achieved a top 5 placing at the National Age Championships and top 20 in the Open National Championships in the 200m Butterfly.  She is passionate about ensuring our swimmers have a positive attitude toward swimming and training.  A qualified fitness and SAT CS instructor, Christie’s experience both in and out of the water will be invaluable to our team.

Meredith (Meri)
With a background in competitive swimming and a passion for surfing and SUP boarding, Meredith has a natural caring ability to offer great support to the Learn to Swim children and help them work through challenging situations as they continue on their swimming journey.  She is a qualified Swim Australia instructor and is currently working toward completing her Cert 3 in Education Support.

A firefighter by trade, Sybilla comes to us with a strong background in competitive swimming and water polo.  Qualifying for the 2000 Olympic Australian swimming team and representing QLD for water polo, Sybilla’s passion for these sports is equaled with her enthusiasm for sharing her knowledge in the pool.  Sybilla’s approachable nature along with her ability to easily explain swimming techniques and strokes makes her a valuable part of the team.

Coming from a family of strong swimmers, Sophie has an informative yet gentle and caring approach to her lessons.  Her ability to quickly build trust with her students enables her to maintain a high level of instruction whilst still having fun.  Sophie has recently completed Year 12, is a qualified Swim Australia instructor and is focused on being the best Learn to Swim instructor she can be.
