Emmanuel Aquatic Centre News

The EC Aquatic Centre team have spent the Summer not only doing a lot of swimming but assessing, revising and planning to enhance the existing swimming pathway between Learn to Swim and Swim Squads with the aim of enriching children’s lives through swimming.

Along with our existing Learn to Swim and Swim Squad programs, we have introduced some exciting new swimming sessions which have been designed to keep those children not wanting to swim competitively, in the water and enjoying the sport of swimming.

Challenge Squad: caters for a wide variety of swimmers who want to focus on fitness and endurance at a higher level than SwimFit.

Intensive ‘Stroke Correct’: The swimmers build on the fundamentals of all 4 competitive strokes and focus on stroke drills and technique. Saturday only.

SwimFit: For fun and fitness both on land and in water. Targeted to children ages 9 to 13 who don’t want to swim competitively but love to swim. Saturday only.

There are more exciting sessions to be introduced in the near future. For more information on anything pool related, contact the Aquatic Centre Manager, Leisa Clayton on 5561 4008 or lclayton@emmanuel.qld.edu.au
