Principal's Message

Some opportunities, like the Junior School FRIENDS program are woven into the curriculum whilst others like the Year 8 Compass, the Year 9 Response, the Year 10 Journey and the Year 11 Mentoring programs are voluntary. They are all, if I’m honest, quite remarkable. These programs are an integral part of the education on offer here, and I would encourage you to talk to your children about joining in.

Junior School and Senior School Cross Country results

At the end of last term we held two very closely contested Cross Country events in the Junior School and Senior School. With so many students training as part of our Athletics Squads, the standard was as high as ever, with some exceptional times recorded in very trying conditions.

The Junior School carnival was held in very warm humid conditions, which made running very uncomfortable, but that didn’t stop the various age champions putting in great efforts.

In particular, real stand out times were recorded by Tara Sosinski 12G, Ethan Links 12B, Jordan Chalmers 11B and Seth Michell 9B.

Congratulations to all runners who put in their best efforts and to Wesley House on winning the carnival in a dominant performance.

In contrast to the Junior School event, the Senior School carnival was held after a night of heavy rain, which ensured that at least a quarter of the course was nearly underwater. This made for a true cross-country experience, but very difficult running conditions.

Regardless of the atrocious conditions, it was a pleasure to watch some of our National standard athletes turning in amazingly good times. Stand out times were recorded by Bianca Jones 13G, Jenna Breetzke 14G, Lachlan and Jack Sosinski  14/16B and Lachlan Jones 15B.

Congratulations to Wycliffe on their hard fought narrow win!
