Principal's Message

Some opportunities, like the Junior School FRIENDS program are woven into the curriculum whilst others like the Year 8 Compass, the Year 9 Response, the Year 10 Journey and the Year 11 Mentoring programs are voluntary. More Eisteddfod Celebrations....

This term we have had the Gold Coast Eisteddfod with students in choirs, musical and dance ensembles performing with schools from right across Queensland’s South East. Emmanuel has continued to set high standards and what is evident is the enjoyment and love for music and dance that has been evident in our students’ performances. There was a wide range of fabulous performances and I would like to congratulate all the students involved, the dance and the music staff, Mr Tuppen, Mr Etheridge, Mrs Lockett, Mrs Megan Smith and Mrs Yvette Scholz, who have been working so hard throughout the year to produce such a worthwhile program that our children enjoy so much.

Also, special congratulations to Ella Pattullo, Sophia McGregor, Neve Lockett and Sophia Eurell who took part in Solo Act. It is quite a daunting challenge to take to the Emmanuel stage and perform for six minutes whilst demonstrating ones accomplishments as a performer.

The competition was of a ridiculously high standard for students of such a young age and the adjudicator struggled to select a winner. After much deliberation, Ella Pattullo was crowned as the Solo Act Winner for 2016.
