'Miss Saigon' awarded highest musical theatre production on the Gold Coast!!

A hearty congratulations to the amazing cast, crew, orchestra and director of the 'Miss Saigon' production who have won the prestigious Golden Palm Award at the GC Community Theatre Awards plus Best Actor in a support role in a school/youth musical plus Best Technical Effect award. The Gold Coast Bulletin featured this extract about the Emmanuel awards :

"Emmanuel College’s season of pop opera romance epic Miss Saigon won the coveted Gold Palm award, presented to the most nominated production across all categories. The school production trumped a rich field of shows presented by 36 companies from Ballina to Beenleigh.

Miss Saigon also earned cast member James Hunt the award for best actor in a supporting role in a school/youth musical while Sally Lintott won the best technical achievement or effect award for the elaborate, infamous scene in which a helicopter arrives at the Embassy."
