Some opportunities, like the Junior School FRIENDS program are woven into the curriculum whilst others like the Year 8 Compass, the Year 9 Response, the Year 10 Journey and the Year 11 Mentoring programs are voluntary. They are all, if I’m honest, quite remarkable. These programs are an integral part of the education on offer here, and I would encourage you to talk to your children about joining in.

Emmanuel College's Fete is an amazing fun filled day for all ages. Held every year as the major fundraiser for our school and community with over 4000 people attending last year.
This year's fete is on Saturday 18 August from 11.00am and ending with fireworks in the evening.
In our first ever attempt at the Kids’ Lit Quiz, our Year 6 team have come away as Gold Coast Heat Champions!
If you weren't able to join us at our Annual Community Picnic last Saturday, here's a few snippets from the day. The heat didn't stop the kids from enjoying a game of cricket or bubble soccer and even a tug-of-war. Of course the water slides provided heaps of cool fun before everyone enjoyed a good ol' favourite sausage sizzle served by our Senior students. It certainly was an afternoon of fun, laughter and great Emmanuel community spirit.

Happy New Year and welcome to what I believe will be an exciting year.
The last two weeks have seen two wonderful events. The first was the Fete, and the second was a visit from the founder of our partner charity in India. Both events were amazing; both once again demonstrated what a unique community we have here at Emmanuel; and both left me feeling incredibly grateful to all the staff and parents who were involved.
