Employment

Emmanuel College is an enthusiastic community of educators and support staff.

We are committed to hiring staff who demonstrate excellence in their field, who are prepared to commit wholeheartedly to the values and ethos of the College, and who confess to a personal Christian faith.

We are committed to the principle of being a multi-denominational Christian school. In practice this means:

  • we hold no distinction between Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox;
  • we are committed to the Christian scriptures as our guide and foundation;
  • we are committed to the necessity of placing Jesus Christ at the centre of our school.

Staff at Emmanuel College are treated as professionals, and given opportunities to innovate and to develop themselves. Our staff work on specific principles that guide each of us in our own professional standards and daily practice.

All staff, teaching and non-teaching, are invited to participate in co-curricular events which might include mission trips or student camps, and so we apply these standards to all staff employment positions.

Current Employment Opportunities

IT Service Desk Coordinator - Permanent, full-time position

The Emmanuel College IT Department will be supporting a number of new, exciting initiatives in 2015, including BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) in the Senior School, encouraging innovation with technology in the classroom, and ensuring that technology is deployed in ways that support teaching, learning and administration across the College. As such, the College is looking to appoint an IT Service Desk Coordinator to ensure that these goals are achieved at a very high standard, and to provide ongoing first-rate IT support to all users.

We are now calling for applications from customer focussed and highly productive organisers who have a natural aptitude for IT to fill this new full-time permanent position of 38 hours per week, commencing Monday 5 January 2015.

The successful applicant will possess strong technical knowledge and IT literacy skills gained through prior experience in a similar role.  Our preference is for applicants who have, or are prepared to obtain a Certificate 3 or 4 in IT. ITIL knowledge and experience working in school or customer service environment would be highly regarded.
